Our projects
The GO4ZERO initiative charts a course towards producing carbon-neutral clinker and cement by 2029, leveraging a multifaceted strategy aimed at achieving carbon neutrality. Here's a glimpse into the array of actions slated to realize this ambitious objective:
- A Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) system
- Oxy-combustion system that can be activated once the complete carbon chain is in place, switching from traditional air combustion to the innovative oxygen combustion. This technological advancement will increase the concentration of CO2 to around 80% in the gases emitted, a substantial leap from the conventional 30%
- A CPU (CO2 Purification Unit), the cryogenic CO2 extraction unit achieving a purity of over 99.7%.
- Smoke filtration and purification system and the ambition of an emission-free kiln, using a combination of bag filters, a regenerative thermal oxidizer, a wet scrubber, etc.
- Filtration system for water/condensate coming from the gas treatment process once in oxycombustion.
- Passive noise reduction and fugitive dust prevention measures
- A Floating solar panel farm (30MW /55,000 panels over 17ha)
